DELIVERY, RETURNS & WARRANTY

1. GENERAL

We provide a door to door delivery service throughout the South Island. Cares will access the most cost effective and reliable delivery to be paid at the rate indicated.

Delivery charges are calculated in the “Shopping Cart”. Please ensure you choose the correct delivery region and area code. We will advise you if you have chosen the incorrect delivery region.

Deliveries do not require a signature and if you are out when the delivery is made, the delivery driver will leave a card explaining how to arrange a re-delivery (additional charges may apply) unless specific instructions have been made to leave the Appliance/ Product in a secure place. Please note that neither we nor the delivery company are responsible for any loss/damage once the delivery has been made. It is desirable that the Appliances are installed directly in-house by our Technician / Delivery person. You must keep your signed delivery note to support any damage claims.

2. DELIVERY TIMES

Expected delivery times are 1-5 working days (ideally within 24 hours) depending on the destination. Delivery times may however be extended during busy seasonal periods due to heavier demand. Delivery times may also be delayed due to public holidays and over the Christmas/New Year period. We will advise if there will be any delay due to products being unavailable.

3. DELIVERY CHARGES

Note for delivery outside of the Christchurch City Delivery Area (see below) we use national/freight delivery companies and the delivery regions and times are defined by them and your availability.

4. STAIR SURCHARGE

Stair Surcharge can apply. Please indicate where stairs are present and access is difficult. Cares Appliances reserves the right to make additional charge in the event of un-notified stairs or access installation constraints.

5. CHIRSTCHURCH CITY AREA

In a Hurry? Please advise us if your delivery is urgent and we will let you know what options we can offer.

$55 Delivery charge will apply for Christchurch Metropol. Please note, that the Christchurch City Delivery area does not include surrounding areas such as Rolleston, Templeton, Prebbleton, Kaiapoi, Tai Tapu or the inner Harbour Bays or Rural areas surrounding Christchurch. These are included in local towns (see below for rates).

6. LOCAL TOWNS & OUTER SUBURBS

$95 delivery charge will apply for Rolleston, Rangiora, Lincoln, Prebbleton, Kaiapoi, (town areas only, rural delivery charges apply if an RD address).

7. SOUTH ISLAND

For all other South Island addresses outside Christchurch.

Deliveries are usually within 24 hours of pickup from Cares Appliances (week days).

8. NORTH ISLAND DELIVERY

Please inquire for North Island rates.

9. URGENT DELIVERY

Saturday Delivery, we will deliver within 50 km of Christchurch on Saturdays / Sundays subject to prior confirmation, availability and charge verification.

10. OVERSEAS DELIVERY

We do not ship to an overseas.

11. DAMAGE OR LOSS

Courier mishaps do occur!

All Appliances are fully guaranteed against damage or loss in transit up to the point of delivery. To make it possible for us to make valid claims on our couriers for courier damage you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery and make available the signed delivery docket.

If a delivery appears to have been delayed without reason, it may be because goods have been damaged in transit. Please contact us to track a delivery. If goods are damaged in transit and they are returned to us, we will re-send the order as soon as possible.

12. DELIVERY ACCEPTANCE

If you have requested delivery to a specified location on or inside a premise, the location in which the product is delivered must be specifically described to us at the time you place your order. We will pass on the delivery instructions to the courier/delivery person. Once delivered by the courier, the product will become entirely your responsibility (in, for example, the case of loss, damage or theft) neither Cares Appliances nor the courier will bear any responsibility.

13. RETURNS

If, for any reason, you are unhappy with your purchase, do not hesitate to contact us on (03) 5952630 and we will look to remedy the problem promptly.

Packing errors or goods damaged in transit, contact us within 48 hours so that we can replace or correct. Please ensure the damaged goods and packaging are intact as we will need those to discuss the incident with our couriers.

14. CANCELLATIONS

If, for any reason, you need to cancel or alter some or part of your order you must contact us immediately by email caresappliancesolutions@gmail.com or phone (03) 5952638 to provide us with the details.

We can only cancel or alter your order if it has not been processed by us.

15. WARRANTIES

All products purchased from Cares Appliances come with a manufacturer’s warranty. Your tax invoice or receipt is your proof of purchase for any warranty claim.

If you have purchased goods or services for domestic or household use you may have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If you have purchased goods or services for business or commercial purposes the Consumer Guarantees Act will not apply.
